The last five days have been spent in the Antioch, California area since arriving at Doug's mother and sister (Anita's) home. I could tell I was back in California when I awoke the first morning, looked out the window, and could nearly touch the neighbor's house! In California's favor, though, was the fact when we left Nevada it was 11 degrees and when we arrived in Antioch it was 67! The first set of pics are from our excursion on Thursday back to Doug's old "stompin" grounds in Niles where he lived in high school and joined the Navy from. Niles is home of the movie picture industry and boosts the Silent Film museum. For his family I've included pics from his elementary and high schools as well. That's his mother Joan in the pics with him at her house.
I am hoping I figure out how to label these pics as I attach them....
Tomorrow I'm off to a women's craft show with Anita and her college friends - Monday we head to San Jose to meet more of Doug's family and next week we are off to Sonoma and Napa counties...
