Monday 12/7....took a drive back to Niles and Hayward area to try video taping with the new camcorder.....suggestion of son Scott's that we make a dvd of the trip for posterity....of course no one thought to bring a camcorder so we now own one...Doug's family will enjoy the video most as it covers the Niles canyon where they lived in the 60's....The two pictures from the day are of Caspers Hot Dog stand...Doug used to walk there from the Hayward Plunge, the local swimming pool. Believe it or not, Caspers was still standing in the same locale; Doug noticed they no longer offered 25 cent hot dogs! Taking it easy today and tomorrow heading to San Jose to visit more family members. First pic is outside Caspers and second is at the counter, enjoying the $5.00 Polish......
